screenclip.fast is a browser extension for retroactive screen capture. By using it, you agree to use it responsibly and legally. We provide it "as is" and aren't liable for how you use your recordings.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the screenclip.fast browser extension ("the Extension") or visiting our website at screenclip.fast ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

screenclip.fast is a Chrome browser extension that provides retroactive screen capture functionality. The Extension:

  • Continuously buffers your screen activity in your browser
  • Allows you to save recent screen activity as video clips
  • Processes all recordings locally on your device
  • Offers both free and paid (Pro) tiers with different features

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Extension only for lawful purposes
  • Obtain proper consent before recording others where required by law
  • Not use the Extension to capture copyrighted content for redistribution
  • Not use the Extension to record confidential or sensitive information without authorization
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

You are solely responsible for the content you capture and how you use or share it.

4. Free and Pro Tiers

Free Tier: Limited to 5 clips total, 30-second buffer, includes watermark on exports.

Pro Tier (Solo, Team, Studio): Unlimited clips, up to 2-minute buffer, no watermark, additional features. Pro licenses are one-time purchases and do not expire.

Each Pro license can be activated on up to 2 devices. If you activate on additional devices, the oldest device will be automatically deactivated.

5. Payment

Pro licenses are sold as one-time purchases through Stripe. All sales are final. No refunds will be provided.

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect existing license holders.

6. License Keys

License keys are for personal or internal business use only. You may not:

  • Share, sell, or distribute your license key publicly
  • Use a single license key beyond the allowed device limit
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or bypass license validation

We reserve the right to revoke license keys that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Extension, Website, and all associated content (including but not limited to code, design, logos, and documentation) are owned by byMichael and protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for its intended purpose.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data. In summary: your screen recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension and Website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • The Extension will be compatible with all systems or browsers
  • Any defects will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, byMichael shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension or Website, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or recordings
  • Unauthorized access to your recordings
  • Legal issues arising from your use of captured content
  • Any other damages related to your use of our services

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Extension at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
